Agnes Duerrschnabel

Sono una designer e formatrice di ceramica.

Nel 2013 ho aperto il mio studio a Como, nell’edificio dell’antico monastero di Santa Margherita.

Amo il mio lavoro, la mia famiglia e i miei amici, l’arte, i libri, il lato selvaggio della natura, le storie delle persone, viaggiare, la musica, il buon cibo. Ma soprattutto amo la vita. Più invecchio, più la amo.

Essendo una persona curiosa, mi interessano molte cose; ho studiato discipline diverse, vissuto in luoghi diversi e svolto diversi lavori.

Sono nata a Göppingen, in Germania, e cresciuta vicino a Ulm. Nel 1987 mi sono trasferita a Como con mio marito italiano e la nostra piccola figlia. Dal 2007 viviamo a Faggeto Lario, un piccolo borgo sul lago, in un luogo speciale che non si può raggiungere in auto, il che rende la vita meno comoda ma molto più romantica!

Da sempre appassionata di lingue e letteratura, dopo il mio arrivo in Italia ho seguito un corso di Letterature Straniere all’Università degli Studi di Milano. Per oltre 30 anni ho lavorato come interprete e traduttrice giurata del Tribunale di Como.

Dal 1985 sono anche profondamente appassionata di design e arte, così, quando mia figlia ormai grande ha lasciato casa, tra il 2007 e il 2012 sono tornata in Germania per frequentare un corso di laurea presso l’Istituto Nazionale di Design della Ceramica di Höhr-Grenzhausen, conseguendo il titolo di designer e formatrice di ceramica.
