Alessio Manfredi

Alessio Manfredi was born in La Spezia in1977.He lives and works in the area between Pietrasanta and Lunigiana. Manfredi is a multidisciplinary artist.  He began his artistic activity in adolescence , influenced by the painter grandfather and earlier academic studies , attending the local laboratories . It follows the Quadriennium and the two-year degree in Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara with honors . His work combines sculpture with installation following a research focused on humanistic themes (ethical, social, philosophical, political). In the three-dimensional production uses various materials, from marble to carbon fiber , undertaking a search that branches into multiple strands with works of various sizes . He exhibited in museums and galleries in Italy and abroad, resulting winner and finalist of various awards and competitions for public works.
