I seek inspiration for my paintings from literature, contemporary society, politics and life: the things that I love. I would like to communicate beauty and astonishment mixed with a reflection on the issues that are important to me, such as the exploitation of animals, and the indiscriminate use of the “new science” that gave life, for example, to GMO food that are already present on our tables, despite many ignore this fact, and are harmful for our health or even the use of censorships by the rulers. My characters, thus, become the manifesto of an idea, a vision and an insight. For these reasons in my works I always report sentences or fragments of texts, symbols or objects that are symbols. They are important, I would say they are the backbone of the structure of the works and they can also be disjointed from the subjects in the paintings. However, they should be considered as connecting elements that provide their contribution in the interpretation of the message. The part related to the aesthetic component is characterised by two fundamental elements: the flat and monochrome colours of fabrics that are in contrast with the volumes of the bodies and the inserted elements in relief made of plastic materials or acrylic glues. The fabric has always been intertwined with everyday life, it means a flattening of social barriers, as a vehicle gives voice to the body, animating it, and finally as an expressive instrument of identity and beauty.
